Minutes
Minutes from 2013 were reviewed and signed off by chairman
2. Chairman's Report
Steve Percival gave the chairman’s report with thank you to everyone who provides help with
particular thanks to Judy for arranging Flower & Craft show and Mary for catering. Big thank
you to Bridget for organising FOSL especially our regular to do list.
To Jo Bradshaw for introducing FOSL to face book
3. Treasurers report
Jo Bradshaw produced an spreadsheet which has been approved by accountants.
A new purchase of pop up marquee bought with flower festival in mind 10x3metres which
can be hired through FOSL is a welcome addition .
The chairman questioned the number of times the marquee had been hired this year ? Will ask
Jo at next FOSL meeting to clarify.
Peter Wild asked if we have April-March financial year
The chairman mentions the FOSL policy of holding £5000. in reserve for any future H& S
issues and forthcoming quinquennial revue.
Jo has suggested if anyone would like any further info regarding finance to contact her.
Peter Wild proposed a big thank you to her Chris Kembrey seconded.

5. PCC report

Right now you will be glad to know there is no call on FOSL fund for help, because we have
completed all the work we choose to tackle, when the quinquennial struck us in 2009.But we
await the architects visit to draw up his report for the new quinquennial requirements.
So the PCC express heartfelt thanks for all your help particualary with the last period of fabric
care, and for all your support in what we have done.
Without going into detail you may like to be reminded of what the PCC has done since 2009
with your help grant sand assistance from elsewhere i.e. volunteer help too numerous to
mention:


7. Future events

Bonfire at Brangay Farm Saturday 29th November 6pm ticket £2.00

Decoration of Christmas Tree in Pound do we need a larger tree /

Di suggested to lift the tree onto wooden pallets if needed, Dave Ginger to provide
outside lights.


Honor asked if we could plant permanent tree – not allowed ref Parish Council

Ann Percival has kept last years Red/Gold decorations ready for this year. Singing
around decorated tree 12th December .

Wassail Evening January 17th At Conduit Farm hosted by Ron & Fay Pitman monies
made to go FOSL


From Vicar Sue Rose which will be her last AGM – What an asset the FOSL is to the village
& church whose commitment and cohesion has made the village a much happier and more
inclusive than it has been in recent years.
As she is moving on to new pastures and adventures we thank her and wish her well.
