Correction of incorrect facts 2. Stating common errors or misconceptions 3. Clarification of confusing phrases 4. Adding (updating) knowledge 5. Identifying what is not known 6. Disambiguation of a definition 7. Providing historical context Omission of important facts and inclusion of incorrect information will prevent you from getting the best possible score. QUALITY OF ORGANISATION (10 pts total) You are rewarded for doing any TWO of the items below: 1. Organizing the topics in a logical manner 2. Correcting typos and grammatical errors 3. Being clear and concise, and complying with the Wiki Manual of Style 4. Including links to other relevant Wikipedia articles 5. Including links to relevant AND reliable external sources COMMENT/ GRADE 15 10 QUALITY OF CITATION (15 pts total) You are rewarded for providing at least ONE citation that follows the Wiki guidelines for scientific citations. But you are welcome to cite more sources. You may consider reviews, primary reviews and primary articles for articles on genes. You may cite books and news if you choose to work on the background of researchers. You are strongly advised to prioritize and select sources that are more often cited or have greater impact (eg. more recent research results, etc). 15 BONUS (10 pts total) You are rewarded for efforts and originality, based on an overall evaluation of your work. Good ways to get full credit for this section are to exceed expectations in the preceding three sections and to keep in mind Wikipedia’s “good article criteria.” 10 Comments 50 Total
