Course Description
Welcome to Latin 2 for the 2009-2010 school year. This class will focus on the

this so called dead language. The purpose of the class is not for you to merely memorize

the Latin language. To accomplish this goal the following areas will be studied:
I.
Use of Latin grammar and vocabulary.
II.
Translation from Latin to English and vice versa.
III.
History of Roman Culture.
IV.

V.
Ability to listen and translate.
There will be homework, quizzes, and test throughout the year as well as one big project
to happen in the fourth quarter of this school year. This project will be discussed further
during the third quarter.
I look forward to a productive and exciting year in Latin 2.
