CONSTRUCTION OF ZARQA MA’EEN DAM

CENTRAL TENDER No. ( 55 / 2013)
1. The Jordan Valley Authority of the Ministry of Water and Irrigation of the Hashemite Kingdom of
Jordan through the Government Tenders Directorate (GTD) is seeking the services of an experienced
and suitably qualified local Consulting Engineering firm who are classifies in first category
specialized in Specialized Engineering /Dam Engineering or who are classified in category (1A) in
water & water sewerage, .roads and buildings field jointly or as joint venture for the said classifications
to review the Studies, Reports, Data, Design and the Tender Documents of Zarqa Ma’een Dam and
make the necessary modifications and to supervise the construction and maintenance of the Zarqa
Ma’een Dam Project / Madaba Governorate.
2. The scope of work for construction supervision services is based upon the studies,
reports, data, design and the project works as defined in the Tender Documents for the
construction of ZARQA MA’EEN DAM or as modified according to this Consultancy
Services Agreement.
3.RFP Document can be downloaded free of charge from GTD website(www.gtd.gov.jo)
starting Wednesday June 26 th ,2013 .
4. Firms shall submit their proposals on the basis of the following Terms of Reference. The proposals
shall be submitted in one original and two copies in a single anonymous package marked “Consultancy
Services for Supervision of Construction of Zarqa Ma’een Dam”, in the lower left corner.
5. Intent to participate in this tender must be confirmed in writing, fax or e-mail to GTD address listed
below upon downloading the RFP documents.
6. The proposals shall be addressed to the Chairman of the Central Tenders Committee, the Director
General of the Government Tenders Directorate. Each copy shall contain two separate sealed
envelopes, marked “Technical Proposal” and “Financial Proposal” respectively.
7. The financial proposal of the Tenderers whom technical proposals are accepted by the Central
Tender Committee (acceptable technical passing score will be determined by the Central Tenders
Committee) will be opened. The other financial proposals will be returned unopened.
8. Awarding the Contract will be to the lowest competent bidder
9. The Employer will organize a site visit Site Visit, meeting before take off will be on July 15 th ,2013 at
9:00 am at JVA Directorate of Dams , Abed Al Aziz Al Tha’alibi Street Building No. 6, Shemisani –
Amman.
10. Inquiries related to the tender documents shall be sent to the Chairman of the Central Tender
Committee of the GTD via fax, preferably by email to the below mentioned address before July 29 th
,2013. Tenderers are obliged to follow up the issuance of any addenda to the tender documents or
answers to inquiries through the official GTD web site mentioned below.
11. The tenders shall be delivered in a sealed envelope addressed to:

The envelope shall be endorsed: Confidential / Tender Documents for the
“CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE SUPERVISION OF
CONSTRUCTION OF ZARQA MA’EEN DAM PROJECT”.
12. The proposals shall be delivered to GTD at the above mentioned address not later than
12:00 hours Jordan Local Time on Aug 19th, 2013,. Documents received after this time
and date will not be considered.
13. The technical Proposals will be opened at 13:00 hours Jordan Local Time on the same
day in the presence of bidder or their representatives and it will be live(audio & video)
on GTD website.
