Egyptian Event Europe 2010 The Egyptian Event Europe is open to straight Egyptian horses, according to the definition of the Pyramid Society Europe and that are registered in any WAHO recognized studbook, by closing date of entry. National registries will be responsible for confirming the date of registration. Entries must either present a relevant registration certificate or enclosed with the entry, a letter by the register confirming that the registration will be completed by the date of the show on the basis that the documentation required for the registration of the horse has been received. All the entries must be accompanied by these documents and the passport of the horse, including a graphic description (foreign horses) and a chip number to check the identity of the horses. The nationality of the horse will be determined by the studbook in which the horse is registered at the closing date of the entries. No horse will be permitted to enter the show ring unless its name and all other relevant details have been printed in the catalogue. Foal classes are open to foals aged 4 weeks and older born in 2010. Entry forms without a valid signature and a copy of the registration certificate are void. Classes In hand Classes age 1. Get of dam to be represented by the dam plus two offspring (1 son plus 1 daughter, 2 sons or 2 daughters, or the dam with daughter and 1 grandchild (colt or filly) - but not a son with a grandchild). 18. Get of sire As it is not compulsory that the sire be in attendance he will be represented by three direct descendants or two direct and one indirect descendant. In these classes no winner will be announced. Participation in this class only costs €70 for all group representatives plus stabling fee per horse. Any of these horses nominated for any other show class/classes have to pay additional entry fees. Native costume (Ridden Classes) -Liberty Egyptian related horses with 50% Egyptian blood are welcome in these classes. This means that these horses need to be Egyptian sired or have an Egyptian dam. Classes with less than 5 entries can be combined with the next age group. The age groups of the classes 9-14 may be rearranged to overcome any undue imbalance in the size of classes. 2 Judges - Mrs. Renate Schibler (Switzerland) - Mr. Murillo Kammer (Brasil) - Mr. Gianmarco Aragno (Italy) - Mr. Holger Ismer (Germany) - Mrs. Marianne Tengstedt (Denmark) Method of judging In hand classes Type, head, neck and shoulder, body and top-line, legs and movement will each be awarded points from 1-20 by each of the judges. Half points will be given. Type will be multiplied by 2. Rules for ties In the event of a tie, the higher place will be given to the horse with the most points for type. If there is still a tie the higher place will be given to the horse with the most points for movements. Failing a decision on either of these, the judges will be required to state their opinion. Championships The first three horses in each class qualify automatic for the appropriate championship + the fourth with the highest score from all classes. In case of 4 classes (Senior classes) the first two will qualify + the two horses with the highest scores from the third place. The champion (Gold) will be selected from all horses in the championship. When the champion has been selected the reserve (Silver) and Bronze will be selected in the same way. If a horse is unable to compete in the championships the horse with the highest points that wasn’t already qualified for the championships may compete. The female and male with the highest scores will receive an award. There will be also given a trophy to the best horse in the show, chosen out the 4 champions. This horse will be awarded BEST STRAIGHT EGYPTIAN HORSE of 2009. Also new is the BREEDERS TROPHY awarded to the breeder who entered at least 2 horses with the highest scores. Championships of the non-professional handlers cup: the first of the class will automatically be champion and the second of the class will automatically be reserve champion. The BEST in Show will be chosen from the four champions. 3 In hand classes Only one handler per horse is permitted in the ring. Assistant is allowed in the ring. The horses must be shown with normally accepted bridles or head collars which are of sufficient strength to ensure the horse does not get loose in the ring. Colts and stallions aged 3 years and over must wear a bit. The penalty for owners of the horses which get loose in the ring will be an immediate fine of €100 for each offence and the horse will be shown last in his class. Prizes and rosettes All horses competing will receive a rosette and a memorial. The first placed horses receive a trophy. All champions and reserve champions receive a trophy. Entries and closing dates The closing date of the entries is 10th of July 2010. Late entries are possible by paying double entry fee. Entries and stable reservations must be made on the appropriate form. Documents A photocopy of the presently valid registration document and pedigree showing name of the horse, sex, date of birth, breeder, owner and graphic description should accompany the entry of each exhibit so that errors in the catalogue and allocation of horses to wrong classes are avoided. Where only the year is given as date of birth, horses will be considered to have been born on 1st of January. Stabling The horses will be stabled in high quality stables. Stabling available for 5 nights (from Wednesday noon till Monday noon) The horses can arrive between 07:00.and 20:00 hours. Horses that arrive before or after need to call the stable manager (Tom) at this number: +3247 954467 The owners are requested to take feeding for the horses with them. Straw will be at the stables when arriving. Wood shavings will be available for €10 (please note this at the entry). Hay will be available for free. Drugs Horses can be tested for the use of prohibited substances. Starting order The show organizers will decide the classes. The starting order will be decided by age. From youngest to oldest. Identification of the horses Each exhibit will be identified on the basis of the registration papers, passports and chip-numbers (according to the new chip rules). Vaccinations All horses have to had their vaccination certificate endorsed by a veterinary officer. Horses need two primary vaccinations against influenza not less then 21 days and not more then 92 days apart. Thereafter booster injections must have been given at intervals of not more then 6 months. No horse will be accepted if it has received an injection of influenza vaccine within ten days prior to the show. 5 Horses without a valid vaccination certificate will not be allowed to compete. Documents will be checked. Upon arrival the original vaccination documents must be handed to the show office, where they will be checked. A vaccination against ringworm is recommended. Horses with an apparent clinical sign of a disease may not participate in the show at the discretion of the DC Vet. If the DC vet diagnoses an apparent clinical sign of a contagious disease, the horse must be put immediately into quarantine and may not participate. Showers Showers for grooms will be available on the showground. Doctor, Veterinary and blacksmith A veterinarian and farrier will be available throughout the show. First aid assistance will be available by the Red Cross. A doctor can be called in case of an emergency. Any incurred bill must be covered by the exhibitor. Costs The organizers, Egyptian Event vzw, accept no liability for exhibitors costs. Liability disclaimer The organizers shall not be liable for death, injury, disease or damage to any person, horse or property however caused. It is, furthermore, an express condition of entry that each entrant shall indemnify the organizers against all actions, costs, claims, demands or liability whatever arising out of any action in which he or she may be concerned.
