General Changes
Admin Menu > Preferences: you now have the option of whether or not to include the
Results data when printing the IEP Goals and Objectives form. This setting can be made
under the Preferences option under the Admin menu.
Admin Menu > Preferences: you now have the option of whether or not to include the only
Clinical Notes instead of Results/Progress/Plan to provide more room on the report form.
This setting can be made under the Preferences option under the Admin menu.
All Students Reports: added date printed to the top of the report.
Default IEP: the defaults setting for the IEP now function correctly.
Placement: Clear options have been added to allow you to clear previously selected
placement option on the Student Information Placement and Dec 1 Placement screens.

Process Changes
Evaluation Schedule letter: you now have the ability to modify the default text of this letter
via Admin > Modify Lookups/Dropdowns to meet your district’s specific needs. The lookup
will contain the default state letter.
Parent Invitation letter: Parental Rights to attachments statement has been added.
Parent Invitation letter: Name and Position can now be added to this form, above
attachments statement.
Parent Invitation letter: a lookup box has been added with the ability to put “Please Return
To:” statement on the letter.
IEP Changes
Accommodations > BSAP Screen 4: “Other” checkbox and text field have been added
under Oral Administrations.
Accommodations > PACT Screen 2 > Presentation: Oral Administration of English
Language Arts option has been added.
ESY Student Eligibility Review Form: N/A options have been added after all yes/no radio
buttons on the form and the report.
ESY Student Eligibility Review Form: the statement at that was previously hard-coded at
the bottom of the report is now a lookup to allow each district to enter a customized
statement.
Extended Year Review: Clear radio buttons to form have been added to clear previously
made selections.
Goals & Objectives: Critical Skills have been added to results at bottom of the report.
IEP > State-Mandated Assessments Button: “Other” check box with yes/no/n/a radio
buttons and comment field was added.
IEP > State-Mandated Assessments Button: CSAB was removed
IEP > State-Mandated Assessments Button: HSAP lookup text field was added.
IEP > State-Mandated Assessments Button: made Specify Alternate Assessment memo
field a lookup.
IEP > State-Mandated Assessments Button: Social Studies option has been added for
PACT.
IEP Extended Year Goals: Standards field and a 2nd Review Date field have been added.
IEP Screen 4 > Transition Services: the following statement was removed; “If there are no
transition objectives in areas checked above for students 16 and older, provide a
justification:”
IEP Screen 5 > an N/A option was added to the first IDEA statement on screen.
IEP Screen 6 > Behavior Intervention Plan: a Comments field was added under yes/no
radio button.
IEP Screen 7 > Reporting to Parents: all fields on this screen are now lookup options, and
the field size has been increased.
LRE > Preschool LRE Screen 1: “semester” or “year” will now print correctly on the report.
LRE and Preschool: Describe Services and Supplementary Aids fields now contain lookup
options.

LRE: items for Documentation of Special Services have been added to the screen and well
as the report.
Preschool LRE: an N/A option has been added under the first yes/no radio button on
Preschool LRE/Part II Form/Justification Tab.
Preschool LRE: items for Documentation of Special Factors have been added to the screen
and well as the report.
Preschool LRE: the following statements have been added to the report:
* “I have received a copy of the evaluation report(s)”
* “I have received a copy of the Listing of Parental Rights & Parent’s Guide to Special
Education Services.”
Progress report: will print objectives along with the state goal report.
Evaluation Changes
LD Multidisciplinary Reports > Team Conclusions: Lack of Appropriate School
Experience yes/no radio button and Environmental yes/no radio buttons have been added.
Speech: this section will not print “yes” or “no” if nothing checked.
Placement Changes
Speech: Nature of Problem now contains a lookup option.
Speech > Tests: more tests can now be added to this field, and you now have the ability to
select multiple tests from the lookup.
MEDICAID MODULE
If your Medicaid system is enabled (if you have purchased the Medicaid Module), you will notice the following
enhancements. If you have not purchased the Medicaid Billing module, contact Horizon today for more
information (303/307.1255).
Medicaid Claim forms
All procedure lookups now show only procedure codes applicable to the provider. You can
view and modify the codes for the lookup via Admin > Modify lookups.
All Provider claims forms allow entry of two diagnosis codes.
You can now clear selected dropdown data.
Version 5.0 now has the ability to extract provider claims and import the data directly into the
Medicaid claim screen for reimbursement.
There is now a new field for “Reason the Claim was NOT Paid.”
The objectives field increased from 8 to 20 characters on screen and report.
A modifier field has been added to accommodate the new nursing modifier codes.
