Projects requiring this discipline may include any or all of the following: Analysis and interpretation of bathymetric surveys using standard USACE/NOAA procedures; analysis and interpretation of side scan sonar data; interpretation of chemical analysis of soils and sediments, including comparison to regulatory criteria; statistical analysis of scientific data; interpretation of land/air based survey data including LiDAR; use, preparation and presentation of spatial data using standard GIS software, such as ArcMap; and, plan/spec development for dredging and beneficial use projects.
