reported in the first instance to – Mr Kyle (Designated Teacher for Child Protection and Safeguarding) –
or Mrs Kirby – (Deputy Designated Teacher). If you have immediate concerns outside school time

Year 1 Admission – September, 2016
Application forms will soon be available for our Year 1 class for the next school year. If you know of a child
who is due to start primary school in September 2016, please let family and friends know these details and
encourage parents to contact me so that I can arrange a tour and a visit to Mrs Kirby and the Year 1 room.
We still have places available.
Coats
As we come in to more consistent cold and wet weather, please ensure that your child has a coat with
him/her every day. If it is at all possible our children will be outside at break and lunch as they need
opportunities for exercise, running about and playing with their friends. Please put your child’s name on their
coat. Coats are essential for Year 5, Year 6 and Year 7 on swimming days as we walk to and from the
Swimming Pool in all weathers!

Chess Club

Tuesday, 15th December – “The Wriggly Nativity” and Olderfleet Carol Service
Our Yr 1, Yr 2 and Yr 3 pupils are performing “The Wriggly Nativity” this Christmas. Parents, extended
family and friends are warmly invited to attend a performance at 9.30a.m. on Tuesday, 15th December in
the school.
Our Yr 4 to Yr 7 Carol Service will also be held on this morning at 11.00a.m.
Parents, extended family and friends are invited to attend as accommodation in Larne Methodist Church on
the Friday morning is restricted. Thank you for your support.
Carol Service – Friday, 18th December
Our Carol Service will be held in Larne Methodist Church on Friday, 18th December.
Yr 1, Yr2 and Yr3 - pupils should be brought to Larne Methodist Church
for 9,00a.m. on the morning of the 18th December
The Service for Yr1, Yr2 and Yr3 pupils will begin at 9.30a.m. and finish at 10.30a.m. approximately.
After the Service pupils can either:
Go home with their parents
Meet their parents and join the congregation for the Yr4 to Yr7 Service.
The Service for Yr 4 – Yr 7 pupils will start at 11.00a.m. and finish at 12.00 noon approximately.
Pupils should be collected at Larne Methodist Church at 12.00 noon.
