8:00p time blocks and 1308 class periods being available for the 10:00a – 7:00p time blocks.

Class Start Times (Spring 2009) when there were less than 10 classrooms available:

Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday: 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:00pm, 2:30pm,

4:00 pm, and 5:30 pm.

Class Start Times (Spring 2009) when there were no rooms available:

Monday/Wednesday 1:00pm and 2:30 pm; Tuesday/Thursday 4:00 pm.

There are a total of 9,311 student seats in the 218 General Assignment Classrooms in 15

Buildings on Campus.

Assuming 60% occupancy; during the peak times of 10:00 am – 7:00 pm there could be as many as 5,385 students using the general assignment classrooms on campus at any given class period.

There are many more classrooms and labs that are assigned specifically to individual academic departments (Proprietary Rooms) that are not part of this analysis.
