Outstanding Teacher Programme
at Gifford Primary School
Who is the course for?
Teachers, in their 3rd year of teaching or beyond, whose practice is judged ‘Good’ and who wish to
develop practice that is consistently ‘Outstanding’.
Programme aims:
To deepen participants’ understanding of outstanding teaching and learning and support them in
becoming sustainably outstanding and reflective classroom practitioners and leaders of learning.
Course structure:
The programme consists of two full day and 8 half day facilitated sessions over a 10 week period,
focusing on teaching and learning and coaching (1 ½ days). Two half-day in-school practice days are
included, in which participants have time to consolidate skills.

Cost:
£615.00 per delegate. Members of Challenge Partnership have their own reduced fee structure.
About us:
Gifford Primary School is a 850 pupil school within a multi-ethnic, multilingual catchment. The school
received a judgement of ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in May 2013 and has been a National Support School
since April 2014.
All the course facilitators are highly experienced classroom practitioners and senior leaders, trained as
facilitators of the OLEVI OTP and ‘Power of Coaching’ courses.
