VACANCY BULLETIN JUNIOR LECTURER (BIOMEDICAL TECHNOLOGY) BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES Post level: 9 Ref. 13/441 The Department of Biomedical Sciences, in the Faculty of Science has a 3 year fixed term position of a Junior Lecturer (Biomedical Technology) at the Arcadia Campus Critical Performance Areas Lecturing theory and practical’s at undergraduate levels Develop relationships with government, industry organizations, professional associations and the veterinary laboratory industry Co-ordinate all Work Integrated Learning (WIL) activities for the Veterinary Technology students Be involved in further studies towards a Masters degree Performing departmental and/or programme related administrative assigned by the Head of Department Minimum Requirements: B. Tech Biomedical Technology Minimum of 1 year general laboratory experience Experience in the field of Biomedical Technology Experience using industry appropriate technology in biomedical technology laboratories and research Supervisory skills will be a strong recommendation The ability to develop relationships with government, industry, professional associations and the veterinary laboratory industry Subject knowledge: Clinical Pathology Registration at the HPCSA as a Medical Technologist in the category: Clinical Pathology Candidates may be subjected to appropriate psychometric testing and other selection instruments.
