Consumer Protection Act: Update and Workshop 2015

A workshop-style presentation focused on answering your questions and providing updates on current issues.

About this seminar

This seminar will follow an innovative format designed to ensure maximum benefit for seasoned CPA experts and newcomers looking for practical input, alike.

Each participant is specifically invited to submit practical or technical questions to LEAD on the application of the

CPA to a hypothetical or real situation, or any other CPA-related questions, and these questions will be dealt with during the workshop.

Seminar content

The morning will be spent on communicating and analysing new developments in consumer law with a focus on practical tips on how to obtain recourse for sconsumers, as well as keeping suppliers protected.

The afternoon will be devoted to workshop-style discussion time on CPA problems and questions submitted to the speaker before the seminar by participants, with the speaker giving her views and technical input on each issue as well, with reference to the latest case law, practical experience and legislation.

Presenter

Trudie Broekmann has a love/hate relationship with the CPA, in which she specialises. She is an experienced commercial attorney, having worked in in-house practice and at law firms large and small for 15 years. She has her own practice in Cape Town.

All refunds must be claimed in writing not more than 15 business days after cancellation. LEAD reserves the right to cancel a seminar should the number of delegates not justify the costs involved. Registered delegates will be given reasonable notice of cancellation.
