Agenda:
1. Update on BFR/CFS collaboration. It’s big! Purchase of pedicab to support new
pickup.
a. CFR plans to delegate produce pick-ups to BFR, starting with Sprouts
Arapahoe
b. possible new pick-up at King Soopers
c. online grocery/food recovery
2. Financial update
a.
Finances: doubled income from grants and businesses, almost tripled total
income and average donation amount (in comparison to 8/14)
b.
Possible salary raises and benefits in the future; need to create a financial plan in
the future
c.
One-time donations = 75% (recurring = 25%) → reach out to annual and
periodic donors to transition into monthly

after 2 years of no donation = lapsed donor
3. FRA - hiring another person half-time

6. Feast of Fermentation

3rd Annual Feast of Fermentation - November 7th, 2015
possible venue: Avalon
b.
Goals: raise $8,000 ($6,000 in 2014), increase to 250 attendees (200 in 2014)
c.
Opportunity for outreach: prospective and existing donors, marketing
d.
Fewer alcohol vendors, more food vendors; ‘drawing’ and silent auction (prizes:
bike, CSA share)
e.
Other ideas: BFR merchandise (pint glasses), tricycle activity
f.
Needs: each Board member must obtain three silent auction items (by in-kind
donation or purchase); solicitation for food vendors; no extra spending. Rhonda needs to
find three donors for auction items.
g.
Outreach: each Board member will get 10 attendees
Action Steps:





Hana: finalize job description for FRA Project Manager, send FRA documents to
the Board,
Suze: send budget actuals (monthly basis) to Board
All: each Board member must obtain three silent auction items for Feast of
Fermentation (by in-kind donation or purchase); each member must get 10
attendees and follow-up with them (monthly donations)
Barbara: support solicitation of food vendors for Feast of Fermentation
Ashley: will provide an update about FOF to Board; will have regular check-ins
with Hana
