I am a member of your local upper west side community. I am writing to you in the hope that you will be able to donate a gift certificate or experience to your [gym, classes, tutoring center] for an auction to benefit my child's school.
PS 9 is a public elementary school located on the corner of 84th and Columbus. Our school will be holding its annual auction in March in order to raise the critical funds to support our children's education. This money is absolutely vital to the success of our school as it pays for the salaries of the teaching assistants and curriculum such as art, music, and Spanish, among other things.
Your [gym, class, tutoring center] is incredibly popular in our community. It is clear that your success is a credit to the superb quality of your food as well as your service. A donation would really help us to raise the funds we need to maintain the quality of our school. More importantly, the children would really benefit from your donation.
