Rules
Capitalize the first letter of the sentence.
We = first person subject pronoun
a. Subject = will be SUBJECT or SUBJECT COMPLEMENT
of the sentence
b. Other first person subject pronoun is I.
c. Singular (only one) - I
d. Plural (more than one) - we
Capitalize holidays (Veteran's Day, Christmas, New Year's Eve)
Capitalize months of the year.
There is no comma with dates when it's only a month and a day
OR month and a year [May 15 OR May 2015].
a. Do NOT include “th” after a number.
Because is a subordinating conjunction that separates two clauses.
It does NOT include a comma before it.
Him = third person object pronoun
a. Object = direct object, indirect object, object of preposition
b. Other third person object pronouns include her, it, and them.
c. Singular - him, her, it
d. Plural - them
7. Do NOT capitalize certain titles that stand alone (lieutenant,
principal, officer).
8. Capitalize names of wars.
9. Period at the end of the sentence.
