The program provides assessment testing, career exploration, job placement, internships, job fairs, advisory board support, instructional support, grant support, course articulation, pathway days and marketing on campus. Examples of activities include: classroom assignments, advisory committee support, marketing CTE programs on and off campus; participation in pathway days, job fairs, career expos, and presentations. Students will be able to identify CTE pathways and majors, search for jobs and careers, participate in work experience, obtain employment, and network. Students gain understanding and knowledge of career resources provided by the community, alumni, and Career Services department. Additionally, 47 of 65 students participated in the online survey. The services most valued in our program are: Job Printouts Resume/interview preparation Computer Access. 67.4 % of students were extremely satisfied with the services and resource provided. Faculty evaluates Career Services on support of CTE instructional programs. Results: VTEA and Tech Prep has provided high school students with opportunities to explore Aviation Pilot Training, Professional Mariners, Allied Health and Architecture Pathways. Students are provided information and access to the campus, programs, registration and support services. Additional staff and resources would allow the department to expand the efforts.
