All cattle may be weighed in and screened during check in. Fullblood, Purebred & Lim-Flex bulls, calved between January 1, 2014 and March 29, 2015 will be accepted. All bulls that are 15 months by the sale must pass a Breeding Soundness Exam and should have a scrotal circumference of at least 32cm. It is recommended that bulls have a minimum adjusted wearing weight of 550 lbs. and a minimum adjusted yearling weight of 1,060 lbs. A non-refundable $100 per bull entry fee must be included. 4. LimFlex,75% and greater females, calved March 1, 2014 and September 15, 2015. All females 24 months of age and older must be safe in calf or have a nursing calf at side, calf must be born after September 1, 2015. All bred females must be bred to a registered Limousin, Lim-Flex, or Angus bull. In order to compete in the cow- calf classes the cow must be lactating. Females must have a minimum adjusted yearling weight of 767 lbs. All females must be calfhood vaccinated for brucellosis,including pregnant recipients. A pregnancy certificate shall be presented by a veterinarian on all bred females. A non-refundable $80 per female fee must be included. 5. A few selected planned matings will be accepted for sale. Each mating must be approved by the expo committee and the sale management. No pregnant recipient will be allowed in the sale barn. 6. The deadline for entry to this sale is January 15, 2016. The sales management and the sale committee reserve the right to limit the number of cattle accepted to 60 lots for the sale and to screen from the sale any animal deemed unfit for the sale. If a lot is not presented at the sale or is screened from the sale, the consignor shall forfeit the entry fee for that lot. 8. The sale will be self-supporting with the sale expenses prorated to each consignor as a percentage of total expenses to gross sale receipts. Costs of registration and transfer will be paid by the seller. Commission will be paid on all no sales. Checks to consignors will be mailed in a prompt manner when the consignor's account with the sales management is in order. 9. The consignor shall guarantee all entries to be breeders as outlined in the NALF suggested breeding guarantee. Individual interstate health certificates must accompany each lot consigned at the sale site. It is the responsibility of the consignor and their veterinarian to make certain that all tests are required by state and federal laws are conducted prior to the issuance of the health certificate. All females must be calfhood vaccinated for brucellosis. 11. Show classes will be split upon receipt of all entries. No classes shall contain more than fifteen entries or have an age spread of more than 90 days except those entries over 2 years of age. All cattle must show to sell, with the exception of planned matings. 12. All cattle must be halter broken, and presented in a professional manner, cattle should be in a good body condition, and clipped and groomed acceptable for a purebred auction. Bulls must show with a nose lead. All cattle that appear to have disposition problems or unacceptable body conditions will be screened from the sale by management. 13. All consignors to this sale must agree to abide by the sale rules and to all decision and conclusions of the management and/or sale committee regarding this sale. 14. Premium money of $5000 (entry fees and matching funds from the KY Dept of Ag) will be distributed per class with champion and reserve champions receiving an added premium. An award for the Best Three Head exhibited will also be presented, with a $500 premium.
