Dear 2nd Grade Families,
On October, 2nd Grade will be doing a Religion project that will
include writing a saint report, creating a “mini” saint and dressing like their
saint. Parents and families will need to help their 2nd Grader research about
their saint and help them complete the report. A report sheet will be
provided for your child. The report should be written in words your child is
able to read and say as well as have their original artwork on the “mini
saint”. Children will be presenting their reports with their classmates. The
report, “mini saint”, presentation, and costume will all be part of your child’s
religion grade. Costume may be homemade and can be as simple as using an
oversized T-shirt with a sash of the saint’s name and some props. A sample
grading rubric will be provided. Below are the important due dates to
remember: • October 12th Saint Report Selection Sheet Due (Portion Below)
• October 27: Written Saint Report Due • October 29th: Saint Costume for
All Saint’s Day Mass, “mini saint” art work & Presentations Due.
