Living Saint Museum Project Junior High Our Lady of Lourdes School Objective: The student will complete a research essay from the perspective of a Catholic saint. The student will perform in character and costume on November 1, 2012 in a “museum” created by the junior high. Procedure: Select a saint Research Write essay in 1st person Memorize Create a costume Holy Card with a picture on one side and self-written prayer on the other "Let us go forward in peace, our eyes upon heaven, the only one goal of our labors." -St. Therese of Lisieux Due Date: November 1st Each student will explain their saint to the students of the school during the museum. The following goals need to be accomplished in your presentation: 1. The audience should know the name and pertinent family history of the saint. 2. The audience should know what events led to the saint being canonized. 3. The audience should get a sense of evangelization from the presentation. A call to action if you will. The audience should leave the presentation being able to walk away with a personal understanding of God’s love, sacrifice, devotion, loving your neighbor, ect. Costume: Should be appropriate to the saint Will be worn over the uniform DOES NOT need to be purchased o Use what you have at home o However, take care to compile your costume. o Be creative o Ask for suggestions and help
