IT Manager – Snoqualmie, WA The Opportunity Our light manufacturing client is seeking an IT management professional to join their company’s extended leadership team and shepherd and update their hardware, communications, audio visual software supporting international meetings, operating systems, desktop capabilities, ERP, and CAD CAM systems as well as help develop great business systems processes, making sure data can move automatically between systems and the firm’s parent company. You will be working with a small team in the US and Canada, with help available from a shared infrastructure support group in Houston. Some light travel might be required for this position primarily to Quebec, Paris, Seoul, and Shanghai. This is a great opportunity for someone with a broad IT background who loves to put structure around and improve existing systems. Responsibilities: As the company’s most senior IT professional, this individual will lead the determination of client’s business systems needs, develop business-driven solutions, oversee process (and system) changes, and manage a motivated and effective team. The successful candidate will have proven experience in partnering with business groups and recommending process changes to improve information flow, resolving complex business and technical issues from a customer perspective, building efficient end-toend processes, and delivering projects that improve user productivity and business results while maintaining appropriate controls. The position will be responsible for delivering reliable and well aligned IT support to client’s entire operation, including three smaller locations in Europe and Asia. Technical scope covers client’s ERP system, user support, all IT infrastructure including data and voice communications, AV, mobile, desktop requirements worldwide and internet activities. Enterprise requirements include supporting hardware engineering, supply chain management, manufacturing, software development and web-based distribution. The individual in this position will manage a three person staff deployed at client’s headquarters east of Issaquah, WA and in Quebec City, in addition to overseeing the utilization of shared, parent IT resources and outside service providers. Specific responsibilities include: Owning the development and delivery of client’s overall IT strategy, project plans, budgets, priorities and practices Overall system design and support for all applications, user capabilities and supporting infrastructure Establishing working relationships with all levels to determine and gain acceptance of client’s IT strategy, priorities and decisions Guiding deployment of IT resources by using clear annual and project plans and schedules Benchmarking, measuring, analyzing, and reporting on and making recommendations to improve and increase the contribution of IT Establishing and managing technical standards, methods, practices and priorities Assuring legal and ethical practices Oversee IT portion of Sarbanes Oxley compliance procedures Develop and lead a motivated and effective internal team. There is occasional standing, walking stooping, kneeling, crouching and reaching/working overhead. Occasionally, there is pushing, pulling and lifting/carrying of parts and equipment weighing approximately 40-80 lbs., and fine manipulation of equipment. Average vision and hearing is sufficient.
