Pupil Premium Report to Parents
Pupil Premium is a grant allocated to schools based on the number of children entitled to free school meals, or
those who have been entitled during the previous six years, including children who have been looked after in care
continually for more than six months.
To be eligible for Free School Meals, you must be receiving one of the following:
 income support or income-based Job Seekers Allowance;
 Child Tax Credit with an annual taxable income of less than £16,190 (provided you are not also entitled to
Working Tax Credit)
 Pension Guarantee Credit;
 income-related Employment and Support Allowance;
 support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.
To claim FSM and therefore enable your child to access this additional support, you can either complete the form
available from the school office or complete an online application.
The Pupil Premium grant for 2014/15 is £1300 per pupil and the school has received £81,900 for this academic
year. (53 pupils)
We aim to spend the Pupil Premium on narrowing the gap and raising achievement for those children from
disadvantaged backgrounds as well as ensuring full involvement of all pupils in school activities regardless of their
parent or carer’s ability to pay.
