Track Record is a new popular music competition for young musicians in East Kent
organised by Canterbury Festival and supported by Your Music School and
Independent Music Productions.
We’re looking for the next big thing in 3 separate categories at both Junior (age 12 –
14) and Senior (age 15 – 18) level:
1) Solo artist (singer/instrumentalist with backing track or playing own
accompaniment)
2) Duo/Trio
3) Band (4 piece +)
To apply, submit the attached application form along with a sample track (this can
be recorded using a smartphone) for the Judges to decide who will go through to the
audition round.
Only three acts in each category will be selected from the auditions to go through to
the Live Final in the Canterbury Festival on Sunday 18 October at the Ballroom, The
finalists will compete for the top prize in each category – the opportunity to record
a one-track demo in a professional recording studio!
