CANCER RESEARCH, OSTEOPOROSIS AND BONE
METABOLISM, BONE INFLAMMATION
Our group focus on the regulatory role of endocrine factors and inflammatory factors in bone cancer, bone tissue metabolism and joint inflammation. In cancer research, we interest in the expression of growth factors and angiogenic factors in bone tumor and clarifying the mechanisms of angiogenesis and metastasis in bone tumor (J Bone J Surg am 2005; Clin Oncol 2005;
Knee 2009). We also indentify the regulatory effects of growth factors in bone-migrating cancer cell such as lung cancer (Carcinogenesis 2008) and prostate cancer (Prostate 2008). In osteoporosis, we find the risk factors in aged women to measure the score of osteoporosis and prevent the fracture in spine and hip
(Clin Rehab 2005; Spine 2005; BMC musculoskelet
Disord 2009; Clin Rehab 2009) Furthermore, we try to figure out the mechanisms how bone-associated disorder occurs, we are interested in investigating the mechanisms regarding how endocrine factors regulates the differentiation and maturation in bone-associated cells including osteoblasts, osteoclasts, skeletal muscle and adipocytes (J Biol Chem 2005; J Cell Physiol 2007;
Bone; 2007; Endocrinology 2007; J Cell Physiol 2010).
Otherwise we are interested in the application and molecular mechanisms of therapeutic ultrasound (Bone
2005; Mol Pharmacol 2006; J Biol Chem 2007; J Cell
Physiol 2008)
