Please be supportive of this worthy cause. ALTAR ROSARY SOCIETY MEETING The Divine Mercy Altar Rosary Society will gather on Sunday, October 4th at the 8:30 a.m. Mass. The rosary will be prayed before Mass and a meeting will take place at the parish office following Mass. PILGRIMAGE Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M. invites all the faithful of the diocese to journey with him on pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC, on Saturday, November 7. A bus will leave Our Lady of Sorrows parking lot at 7:00 a.m., so please arrive no later than 6:45 a.m. We should arrive back in Mercerville around 8:30 or 9:00 p.m.. You may bring a bag lunch or buy lunch in the Shrine’s cafeteria. We will have a rest stop on the way down, and stop for dinner on the way home. The cost of the trip is $25 per person. Adult Faith Formation Opportunity Laudati Si—On the Care of Our Common Home Come and join with others, at the request of Pope Francis, to study and pray with his new encyclical letter, Laudato Si, which takes its name from the invocation of St. Francis (“Praise to you, my Lord”). A Retreat for Those Facing Serious Illness Gennesaret, a retreat designed to provide a spiritual and temporal oasis for men and women suffering with a life changing illness, will be held the weekend of October 16-18 at the Archdiocesan Retreat Center, located in Kearny. The retreat will begin on Friday at 1:30 p.m. and end with a closing prayer service Sunday at 1:30 p.m. The retreats, held in a setting that allows time for rest and quiet, offer a respite from the daily coping with a serious illness and a focus on God's love, forgiveness and faithfulness. On staff are medical personnel, spiritual directors, and a caring team of helpers to assist retreatants. There is no cost to you for the retreat.
