Cut the ribbon into 7 equal pieces, each 4 cm. 4. Make seven 50 ml solutions of HCl with a different concentration: 0.5 M, 1.0 M, 1.5 M, 2.0 M, 2.5 M, 3.0 M, and 3.5 M. 5. Do your dilutions measuring accurately with a transfer pipette. 6. Place the required amount of stock solution in a small beaker and then add the required amount of water to reach 50 ml. 7. Mix your solutions, and label your beakers 1-7. 8. Drop a piece of magnesium into beaker one acid solution and time how long it takes for the magnesium to disappear. Stir gently.
