Syllabus To develop a critical understanding of the major areas of diversity in organisations and society To examine how such diversity affects organisational effectiveness To examine the importance and benefits of diversity To understand and critically evaluate different areas of discrimination, focusing on the labour market experiences of different social groups, such as women, ethnic minority groups, disabled groups and older workers etc. To link Human Resource Management theory and reality to equality and diversity discussions To examine different approaches to equality/diversity and different diversity initiatives To critically evaluate the business case for diversity The syllabus covers a range of issues regarding the course topic.
