IT now executes a mixture of on-premise, Cloud and 3rd party sourced IT services, in a an entirely new and modern IT infrastructure that utilises the latest technologies. The IT function serves 600 staff in NCIs and NCIS co-located bodies and aims to adopt common solutions across NCIs where practical. IT provides a broad range of customer focused IT services such as technical architecture and support, networks, change management, business analysis, project management, Training, Procurement, systems administration and applications hosting JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for executing the Change Management strategy and function to ensure effective change governance, business integration, IT training, induction, , business analysis, project management, a business partner approach and a compliant change operating model across NCIS that ensures business cases and requirements for projects are documented, logged, impact assessed, costed, approved, managed and reported on through to successful delivery and transition to NCIs business as usual. 09/02/2016 1 MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and lead the Change Management and Business Integration Strategy and operate as an intelligent advocate for business areas to inform business and IT Strategy and plans Establish and maintain proactive communication channels for departments to provide their feedback to IT in a productive manner Lead provision of customer facing communications that are timely and tailored to audience Steer the provision of effective IT training and induction across the business and work strategically with HR colleagues to improve IT literacy amongst NCIs staff Lead IT’s intelligent business partner approach and ensure IT staff are provided with the tools and support to understand their departments operations and feed their needs and priorities into IT Strategy and plans Direct the change operating model and ensure change requests have a viable business case, are robustly impact assessed, costed and approved before any development takes place and projects are effectively governed, initiated, managed and reported on through to successful implementation Provide expertise to departments to help them produce business cases and shape their requirements so it is clear what business problems are to be solved and how success will be measured Provide professional, fit for purpose business analysis and project management services that help NCIs and staff to engage easily with IT and 3rd parties to deliver change successfully Lead the work to ensure effective delivery of change, building relationships internally and externally at senior levels to support the delivery of the full change programme and its vision of modern, integrated IT systems supporting the whole NCIs business. Lead IT procurement activities for projects and provide consultancy and support to senior managers in department’s on their internal and 3rd party projects Deliver customer facing communications that are tailored to audience and stakeholder and that ensure user engagement is ongoing and productive Work to resolve ‘soft tensions’ between IT, projects and departments, flagging any potential issues to the IT Director and change governance Make certain the impact of new or upgraded IT systems and projects is managed in an effective way to ensure the delivery of desired business outcomes Provide reports to senior manager on projects, progress towards the change programme vision The main duties and responsibilities of your post are outlined in your job description. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Starting Salary: £60,000 per annum Pension Contributions: Non-clergy staff will be admitted to the Church Administrators Pension Fund (CAPF, DC Section). Clergy already in the Church of England Funded Pensions Scheme (CEFPS) will have the option of either remaining in this scheme or joining the CAPF scheme. There is no contracting – out certificate under the Pension Schemes Act 1993 in force for this employment in relation to the CAPF and CEFPS. 09/02/2016 4 Both CAPF and CEFPS members are contracted-in to the State Second Pension. Hours of Duty: Normal hours of work are 35 per week, Monday to Friday with an hour’s unpaid break for lunch. Annual Leave: 30 days paid leave per leave year.
