NOTICE TO ALL MUNICIPAL SEWER CUSTOMERS
Effective August 1, 2008 the Municipal Authority put the following fees into place for sewer bills that are
past due:
30 DAY TILL SHUT OFF NOTICES WILL HAVE AN ADDITIONAL $10 FEE POSTED TO THE
ACCOUNT
3 DAY TILL SHUT OFF NOTICE WILL HAVE AN ADDITIONAL $20 FEE POSTED TO THE ACCOUNT
If your water is turned off you will have to pay the amount of your bill plus the above fees in addition to a
$60 turn on charge and a $200 condemnation fee.
Please note also that we accept only CASH, CERTIFIED CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS on bills that
receive shut off notices for 10 day notices, 3 day notices, or 48 hr notices.

POLICE NOTES
School Student Drop Off
Parents are reminded to refrain from double parking when dropping off their children at Park and Taylor
Schools. In addition, children must be dropped off curbside and not expected to cross opposing traffic.
High School Parents are reminded to drop off students at the designated “drop-off” point in the area of the
cafeteria. No student shall be dropped off in front of the school or any of the hills.
Confidential Drug Tips
Any resident wishing to provide the Columbia Borough Police Department information on drug dealing or
drug use can do so confidentially at 717-684-7735 or electronically at columbiaboroughpolice@yahoo.com.
Dog Law
Pet owners are required to walk their dogs on a leash and to pick up any feces deposited by their pet.

Past due tax notices were mailed out recently. If you have any questions on payments for tax bills,
please call 684-2467x7319. Any bills paid after December 15, 2014 must be by certified check, money
order or cash. Any bills not received by December 31, 2014 will be turned over to tax claim.

RECEIVE AN ELECTRONIC BILL VIA EMAIL
The Borough is now able to offer an electronic bill via email. If you are interested stop
in or call the office and we can set your account up to generate an electronic bill to your
email account instead of mailing one.

NEW PUBLIC NOTIFICATION SYSTEM
The Borough of Columbia is now proud to offer a Public Notification
System to its residents. This Public Notification System gives the Borough
a chance to reach out to its residents in case of an emergency or to provide
other important information. The system is designed to get emergency and
public messages to you quickly and effectively via email. Registering for
email blasts regarding Columbia Borough is easy. Log on to the website,
www.columbiapa.net and click on the Notify Me button on the top left hand
corner of the webpage. You will be directed to provide an email address.
