Conservation area consultation Corby Borough Council has employed a conservation and heritage expert, Peter Thornborrow, to complete a review of the Cottingham and Middleton conservation areas. This has resulted in proposals to join the two areas and extend it to become one larger conservation area. This proposal is being considered by Corby Borough Council’s Local Plan Committee on 2 September. You can find more information, including papers and maps, on Corby Borough Council’s website. If the Borough Council approves the proposal on 2nd September, there will be a full public consultation with Cottingham and Middleton villagers to gather their views. As part of this, Peter Thornborrow is holding an event at the Village Hall Annex from 7pm to 9pm on Monday 14 September, where you can find out more.
