UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS:
PAINT CANS, SHINGLES, ENGINES OR GAS TANKS, WOOD, VINYL TYPE FLOORING,
BRICKS, CONCRETE BLOCKS, YARD WASTE, GARBAGE OR ELECTRONICS.
1.
Item tags may be purchased at the Borough Office, located at 308 Locust Street, between 8:00
a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
2.
Curbside collection requires a tag be attached to the item. Place item(s) curbside after
6:00 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014, and before 6:00 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2014.
3.
Items picked up curbside without a tag will be invoiced to the property owner.
NOTE: Curbside articles for pickup are the property of Columbia Borough. Any unauthorized removal
of curbside items before the scheduled pickup time is an illegal theft of trash hauling services and a Trash
and Recycling Ordinance violation. Violators identified will be prosecuted.

The 23rd Annual Arbor Day Celebration will take place on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Rotary Park, 2nd and
Chestnut Streets. Please join us for this event commencing at 6:00 pm to celebrate trees and springtime.

If you are trying to reach the Wastewater Department regarding a sewer issue press 4
For information regarding the Street Sweeper, Leaf Collector or Yard Waste Collection press 5

To dial by name press 9 and dial the first two letters of the persons last name, then choose the person

NOTICE TO ALL MUNICIPAL SEWER CUSTOMERS
Effective August 1, 2008 the Municipal Authority put the following fees into place for sewer bills that are past due:
30 DAY NOTICES WILL HAVE AN ADDITIONAL $10 FEE POSTED TO THE ACCOUNT.
3 DAY NOTICES WILL HAVE AN ADDITIONAL $20 FEE POSTED TO THE ACCOUNT
If your water is turned off you will have to pay the amount of your bill plus the above fees in addition to a $60 turn
on charge and $200 condemnation fees.
Please note also that we accept only CASH, CERTIFIED CHECKS, CREDIT CARD, OR MONEY ORDERS
on bills that receive shut off notices for 10 day notices, 3 day notices, or 48 hr notices.
