Windsor Castle Trip- 10th February 2015
On Tuesday 10th February 2015, Year 2 will be visiting Windsor Castle, as part of their Kings and Queens
Topic.
The children will have the opportunity to take part in a workshop helping the children to understand the
role of the Queen and the monarchy. They will also be able to spend time exploring the castle and
discovering the amazing portraits and artwork that hang on the castles walls. There may also be the chance
for the children to visit one the of the castle shops.
The children will be travelling by coach to Windsor, leaving at 9am and returning at 4pm. We do ask for a
voluntary contribution of £24.50 per child for the trip. This cost includes entry to the castle at £6 per child
with the remainder being due to coach costs, which are divided by just 24 children.
If your child suffers from travel sickness, please provide your child with a tablet for the journey. This should
be in a labelled bag and handed to a member of staff on the day of the trip.
We are sure that the children will have a fantastic time exploring a castle of a reigning monarch.
