The purpose of the Athletic Hall of Fame is to recognize those exceptional athletes, teams and people that became a part of Brookfield Central history. The recognition is not only for the individual, it is for the team, players and community who cherish the memories, excitement and pride that these individuals created for the Brookfield central High School. It is our hope that the achievements and recognition of a few will inspire future athletes at Brookfield Central High School to strive for excellence. Brookfield Central Athletic Booster Club Inaugural Hall of Fame Class Clark Beier; Class of 1966, Football, Basketball, Track, and Baseball. Earned 11 varsity letters, 3x MVP, 4x all conference, 2x state qualifier, played on 4 conference championship teams, co-athlete of year 1966, coached 1971-79 football, track, and baseball. Bill Carollo; Class of 1970, Football, Basketball, Track, Baseball. Earned 12 varsity letters, 3x captain, 6x all conference, on 5 conference championship teams with 1 state championship won (baseball). NFL Referee 1989-2008, worked Super Bowls XXX & XXXVIII, NFL Man of the Year 2008. Jack Charlesworth; Coached at BCHS 1961-76, Football 16 years, Track 4 years, Wrestling & Swimming 1 year each, AD 1977-92. Won 4 conference championships (3x Football & 1 Track), State district AD of the Year 1990. Harley Graf; The first Athletic Director for BCHS 1955-75. He established the philosophy and tradition for excellence at BCHS. He made it possible for all coaches and athletes others to be successful in there pursuits of excellence. Kenny Harrison; Class of 1983, Basketball and Track. Earned 6 varsity letters, 13x conference track champion (indoor, relays, outdoor), 3x State champ (2x LJ, 1x TJ), held state TJ record from 1983-2005, 1996 Olympic TJ Gold Medalist and World Record Holder (59’4”). Austin Ramirez; Class of 1996, Swimming, 4x letter winner, 3x team captain & MVS, 3x State Champion and state record holder in 500Fr, Lead team to State Championships in 1994 &1995. World Champ 1998, Pan Am Silver Medalist 1999. Dave Steinbach; BCHS Boys & Girls Tennis Coach 1982-present. 13x State Champs, 13x State runner up, 28x conference titles, In 2010 the USTA awarded the BCHS tennis program the National Star Fish Award which goes annually to the exemplary “no-cut” high school tennis program in the nation. Nancy Tyggum-Terrian; Class of 1987, Tennis, Basketball, Soccer. Earned 12 varsity letters, 6x MVP, 3x captain, 10x all conference, on 6 state champ teams, athlete of the year 1987, US Open Champ in father/daughter division 1986. Proud mother of 4 (John, Joshua, Amy & Anna) and wife of Mark (class of ‘84). Tom Waterman; Class of 1966, Football, Wrestling, Track, Baseball. Earned 11 varsity letters, 3x all conference, 2x state qualifier, played on 2 conference championship teams, co-athlete of the year ‘66, prom king ‘65, homecoming king ‘66, US Army 1970-2004 Achieving the rank of Brigadier General.
