It also defines their concerns and interests. It defines their claim on the department while prioritizing them. It checks the police department`s position as a law enforcement agency by presenting an analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The analysis is crucial in directing and evaluating the activities of the department. It is also critical for managing the organizational relationships to ensure that quality services are provided and mutual benefit is realized (Schwalbe 71). It sole mission during the organization`s activities is to enhance security during the meetings to protect the members from any harm and disruptions form any protestors or activists. The internal stakeholders are directly affected and they take part in the organizations decision making (Helm, Liehr-Gobbers, and Storck 53). They include, the organizations leadership, delegates, guests invited to the convention, law enforcement officers, government agencies such as these ret service and members of the homeland security, the county leaders such as the Miami mayor and local government officials. External stake holders are those who do not engage directly with the organization but they have a relationship with the convention (Helm, Liehr-Gobbers, and Storck 54). They include, media personnel, area residents and members of the civil society specifically the protestors and the activists. The stakeholders influence the manner in which the convention conducts its activities.
