Whole Journeys Announces Three-Day Aspen Hiking and Tasting Tours
In June and September 2014
ASPEN, Colo. (Jan. 20, 2014) – Whole Journeys, Whole Foods Market’s new travel company, has created a
new travel itinerary for the active foodie, the three-day Aspen, Colorado Hiking and Tasting Tour. Guests
will explore the region’s incomparable mountain scenery alongside professional local guides and meet
passionate local food suppliers and artisans.
The Aspen Hiking and Tasting Tour will take place over three different long weekends, including two
scheduled around this year’s Food & Wine Classic in Aspen -before the festival, June 17-19, and following
the festival, June 24-26. The third tour is scheduled for Sept. 12- 14 to highlight the beautiful fall foliage.
The three-day, four-evening Aspen Hiking and Tasting Tour is $995 per person, not including lodging.
Several accommodations in Aspen are offering affordable rates and special discounts in conjunction with
the Whole Journeys tour. The preferred lodging for the tour is the Hearthstone House where a meet-andgreet welcome event will take place. A block of rooms have been held starting at $149 per night plus tax.
Additional lodging starts as low as $139 per room per night at Aspen Square Hotel Condominiums, and up
to $239 at the Sky Hotel. Hotel Jerome is also offering 10 percent off their best available rate, and the
Limelight Hotel is offering 25 percent off their published rates for all available room categories. Please call

 Afternoon tasting tours at local producers including Woody Creek Distillers and Avalanche Cheese
Creamery
 Celebratory backcountry barbecue dinner at T-Lazy 7, highlighting local, responsibly-raised meats.
