The Focus is the “UX Landscape” and How to Use It
Emphasis on Landscape, Research, Design and Practical Workshop
The Training Course delivers a strong emphasis on understanding the entire landscape of UX so participants
clearly understand it, the process, where to start, research and design methods, when to use them and how
they relate to everything else in UX. This is fundamentally integral to your understanding of UX.
UX Overview
Digital Landscape and the Presentations by UXTraining.com.au
The Training Course also has a strong focus on business metrics and the business side of UX because this is
the whole point of UX - to shift a business metric. UX is simply the tool and this course teaches you the ways
to use the tools to achieve the results.
The training includes the four pillars of UX – business metrics, UX research, UX design and UX analytics. We
delve into the theory, tutorials, workshops and practicals and also introduce the Balsamiq Mock-
ups and Axure RP Pro wire-framing/prototyping tools along with the Google "Design Studio" method of
collaborative design thinking. Very powerful for your business because it has a very strong focus on
identifying, measuring and shifting business metrics as the measure of success and using UX as a tool.

knowledge."
(NAB) User Experience (UX) Designer, Lea Cooke
“I really enjoyed this training. The environment was relaxed and friendly and Bernard ensured that everyone in the
class had the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas – all of which were incredibly valuable. I felt that the
training provided a great overview of the role of a UX designer and the UX methods we can draw upon to drive
positive business outcomes. My only regret is that I didn’t do a course like this several months ago.”
(BUPA) User Experience (UX) Designer, Jamie Treyvaud
“With Bernard's open and honest approach to UX, participants felt free to collaborate easily with others thus
forming a great network of peers. I found his 'real life' approach and ability to explain the differences between
traditional UX and a Lean UX way of working really valuable.“
(SUNCORP) Technical Lead, Naveen Warusavithana
“It has truly being an eye opening exercise. Not only has the training given me an idea of the UX landscape but also
when to use different design techniques effectively. The highlight for me was the design studios that followed using
affinity diagrams to understand the customer's biggest problems. For the design studios, Bernard organised for us
to work with real customers with real products.”
(TELSTRA) Senior Business Analyst, Jamie Kvins
“The frameworks and tools introduced during the course extend a business analysts' toolkit and I found them so
elegantly simple and easy to apply to my business. The course demonstrated that UX is NOT simply providing an
aesthetically pleasing interface but with appropriate engagement with users and stakeholders a design can deliver a
solution that can solve a business problem, create a tangible business benefit and create connections with your
customers. The engagement piece was valuable in that reinforced the need to understand where your customer is in
their journey in order for you to best support them and deliver on their needs.”
(COLES) Lead Consultant/Business Analyst, Farnaz Vahab
