Year four’s and Year two’s went trip to Norwich castle . Before we went to Norwich castle we were happy and nervous. On Wednesday 6th January 2016 at the castle we were learning about Egyptian and Roman objects. We met a person called Jenni. She let us touch Egyptian things. There were necklaces, rings and an earring. Also we went to the Egyptian gallery and we saw a mummy with the top off. The shabti was buried with the mummy. They put their lungs and other things into canopic jars. In the Egyptian gallery someone counted over 80 scarab beetles and over 90 Eyes of Horus! In the same gallery I saw lots of colourful jewellery. I really enjoyed handling old objects. We handled Roman objects too. We handled a poo stick, oil scraper, Roman sandal, roof tile, Samion pottery and a wax tablet. It was really fun. We also went to the Boudicca room where we saw a chariot ride game. There was a farm set and there were 77 animals in the farm set. We put on a toga. The togas were really comfortable. There was also a colouring set. There were also some old handcuffs. We also went to the animal gallery and bird gallery. It was a lovely day at the castle. Mackenzie
