Ancient Rome Timeline
Directions: Follow the steps below to complete your timeline. Use the example being projected to help you as you work.
This is your homework if it is not complete in class.
Step #1
On a blank piece of printer paper, turn in horizontally and label it “Ancient Rome” across the top. Then place your name
and date on the back of it.
Step #2
Draw a straight line across the front of the paper in the middle of the page.
Step #3
Using a ruler, mark every inch across the line starting at the very edge of the paper.
Step #4
On the first mark on the left side of the line, label it 800 B.C.E. Then, along all of the 1 inch marks, label them by every 1
inch = 200 years (note: these dates are B.C.E., so numbers go backwards). Label the scale on the paper.

Put each of the dates below on your timeline where they appropriately fit. Make sure you have 10 events.
