PUPIL PREMIUM STATEMENT 2014/15 Since April 2011, schools have been in receipt of Pupil Premium funding for each child who have claimed Free School Meals at any time during the past six years. Funding is also received if a child has been looked after or has been adopted from care or whose parents serve in the armed forces. Effective use of the Pupil Premium Funding 2013/14 At Regents Park Community College students were supported in the following areas: One to One tuition or small group work Pastoral and Behaviour Support Alternative and flexible curriculum provision Parent support advisor Counselling services Mentoring schemes Access to curriculum visits and enrichment activities Subsidised music tuition Additional time set aside for tracking Additional PE kit available Impact Last year’s funding of £254,700 impacted in the following areas: Results - August 2014 50% Year 11 PP students achieved 5 A*-C including English & Maths (National Average of 33.7%*) 61% Year 11 PP students achieved A*-C in English compared with NPP students who achieved 78% 66% Year 11 PP students achieved A*-C in Maths compared with NPP students who achieved 88% *2013 figures Effective use of the Pupil Premium Funding 2014/15 For this academic year we are continuing the support strategies developed during 2013/14. Please see below a plan of the support: £276,760 £3000 will be allocated to reduce cost of trips or allow student to attend a trip £1000 will be allocated to reduce costs of uniform or PE kit £1000 will be allocated towards exam support £45000 will be allocated to revision and revision guides (including staffing and external support for students), breakfast clubs (currently Science & Maths) to enhance the students revision and coursework £108000 will be allocated for additional teachers (behaviour support) and project posts £68760 will be allocated for additional learning support staff and teaching staff to support our one to one tuition £50000 will be allocated for external support for one to one tuition
