CORTLAND PLASTICS INTERNATIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Process/Maintenance Engineer STATUS: Salaried Exempt DEPARTMENT: Engineering REPORT TO: Engineering Manager REVISED: APPROVED: DSK 11/01/12 David S. Kievit JOB SUMMARY: To provide a variety of maintenance and process support to manufacturing and total facility operations by performing preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and general repair as needed to all facility grounds, facility, offices, blow molding equipment, secondary equipment, and all support equipment. Process Engineer will work directly with Engineering Manager on first piece sampling, process approval, and mold approval. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 50% Help establish total facility maintenance including all equipment as required. 10% Work with Engineering Manager on continual improvement and corrective actions. 10% Help move and or set-up new equipment throughout the facility. 10% Documentation of all maintenance performed in appropriate log books. 10% Help cover for Shift Manager vacations as needed. 5% Sampling of new molds for mold/process qualification. 5% Assist Engineering Manager with Bill of Materials and Product Log Books as needed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: - Contribute to the over-all success of the company by performing all assigned responsibilities in a professional, timely, and efficient manner. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS: High School diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 5 years experience in plastics or related technical field, working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and mechanical. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities unless when temporarily filling in for the Engineering Manager or Shift Managers.
