9/3 Trump vs. Ramos
In page 2 paragraph 4, the quote, ”For many Latinos, Trump telling Ramos to “go back to Univision”
reflected shades of racism and echoed the familiar phrase, “Go back to Mexico,” made me think that
both Donald Trump and Jorge Ramos were disrespectful to each other. The reason being, is because
Jorge Ramos didn’t listen to Donald Trump, whom was the one in charge of electing whose turn it was
to speak. However, Trumps’ response to Ramos’s action wasn’t acceptable, because he didn’t have to tell
him to go back to Univision since it seemed to have been an offense. To Ramos, Trumps’ words had a
double and a racist meaning towards immigrants. Instead, Trump should have only settled the
problem by either calming him down or kicking him out.
