Business Class is BITC’s flagship education programme, a unique business and education partnership programme, which aims to bring about sustainable improvements in secondary education in some of the country’s most disadvantaged schools. Purpose of Job BITC is currently looking to appoint someone to join the South Area Education Team to manage the delivery of Business Class cluster in Cambridge, which comprises of 8 current partnerships, with further development. The jobholder will work closely with BITC’s national and area teams and key partners including businesses, schools and education support organisations to ensure successful engagement and successful school and business partnerships. Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities: Managing the day to day running of Business Class in Cambridge Recruitment of additional schools and businesses to participate Working with the senior education manager, establish a comprehensive programme of activities to enhance cluster collaboration and the quality of school and business relationships Collation of data to support evaluation and impact measurement Implementing a recruitment strategy for engaging new businesses and schools to the programme Developing strong relationships with multiple stakeholders such as businesses, local authorities, voluntary sector, schools and Education Business Partnerships Disseminating the sharing and learning of best practice in Business Class and aiding its development through termly cluster meetings Other Ensure that health and safety requirements are met in the areas for which the jobholder is responsible. This rises on a sliding scale to a maximum of 30 days after 10 years service. Employees can also "buy" more holiday entitlement or "sell" days unused.
