Ho Jia Jun Stephen General Manager, Operations Wing Tai Asia BIOGRAPHY Mr Stephen Ho holds a MBA (High Honours) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Masters and a Honour’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. He started his career with the Housing and Development Board as an electrical engineer in 1998 and was subsequently seconded to the Ministry of National Development. As Assistant Director of Corporate Development there, he was responsible for driving the innovation and organisational excellence effort of both the Ministry as well as the various statutory boards under the Ministry’s purview, with a total staff strength in excess of 12 000. Stephen subsequently joined Surbana International Consultants Pte Ltd (SIC). At SIC, he held numerous leadership positions. This included Director (Consultancy) and Director (New Technologies) at Surbana Technologies as well as Country Director (United Arab Emirates), Senior Vice President (Business Development), and Regional Director of Middle East, Africa and Latin America of SIC. As Country Director (UAE), he spearheaded Surbana’s expansion into the Middle East and was responsible for setting up Surbana’s Regional HQ in Abu Dhabi. In his role as Regional Director (MEALA), he was responsible for the full profit and loss of Surbana’s operations in those regions. Stephen joined Keppel Land International as their head of international investment in 2010. In this role, he was responsible for seeking out and structuring real estate investment opportunities internationally outside of China. Stephen subsequently relocated to Shanghai as part of the newly formed Keppel Land China, spearheading Keppel’s business development’s effort in China. He was later appointed City Head (Shanghai), in that role, Stephen was responsible for the full profit and loss of Keppel Land’s operations in Shanghai, comprising five on-going developmental projects and an investment asset; ranging from high end condominiums, Grade A commercial buildings, large scale townships and a retail mall. He was also the Chairman and Legal Representative of the project companies. Stephen joined Wing Tai in 2014 as General Manager, Operations. As GM (Ops), he is responsible for the streamlining and enhancement of systems and processes in Wing Tai’s property arm, across its development projects in Singapore, Malaysia and China. Stephen is also overseeing the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management framework across Wing Tai’s property development business. On the professional front, Stephen is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES) as well as that of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honour Society, and has held international leadership positions in IEEE and IET.
