Free CPD evening at Biobest Laboratories

“Getting the most from cytology” and “All you need to
know about infectious disease diagnosis”
You are invited to an evening of CPD to launch Biobest ClinPath Laboratory Services. Our new
Clinical Pathologist, Prof Elspeth Milne, will speak on cytology and Dr Paul Burr will speak on
infectious disease diagnosis. There will be a small practical element with the chance to win a
prize for correctly reading a cytology slide and a coronavirus plate.
Elspeth is a RCVS and European recognized specialist in Veterinary Clinical Pathology and has
a particular interest in cytology. Topics covered will include tips on sampling and sample
handling, as well as the basis of cytological interpretation. Paul is a specialist in laboratory
investigation of infectious diseases and Managing Director of Biobest Laboratories.
The meeting will be held at Biobest Laboratories, 6 Charles Darwin House, The Edinburgh
Technopole, Milton Bridge, Nr Penicuik, EH26 0PY. Refreshments will be provided.

will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. A registration fee of £30 per person will be
charged, but will be credited against test charges at Biobest for all those who attend the event.
