DISCOVER STILLWATER PHOTO CONTEST WINNERS
STILLWATER, MINNESOTA - The votes are in and the winners of the 2015 annual Discover Stillwater
Photography contest have been selected. It was a hard decision considering 312 images were submitted, but
the Stillwater/Oak Park Heights Convention & Visitor Bureau Board Members chose three monetary winners
and four honorable mentions. Entrants submitted photographs showcasing all four-seasons in the Stillwater
area and decisions were based on capturing the spirit of “the Birthplace of Minnesota.”
The popular vote winner was selected by online public voting tool during the first two weeks of September
drawing 1,553 votes as the final winner. A Stillwater Getaway Package is the prize for this winner with
certificates from theses sponsors: Rivertown Inn, Kari’s Create & Paint Studio, Marx Fusion Bistro, Foodies on
Foot, and Northern Vineyards.
2015 Discover Stillwater Photo Contest Winners are: First Place – Carol Seefeldt; Second Place – Dave Parker;
Third Place – Troy Schmidt; Popular Facebook Vote – Sara Jespersen. Honorable Mentions went to Judd
Sather, Troy Schmidt, Kelley Brenner, and Tom Wieland.
All winners will all also receive recognition on the DiscoverStillwater.com website and showcase in the 2016
Official Stillwater Visitors Guide.
