This involved: Lesson planning, teaching proper violin technique and musical theory, and encouraging all of my students to reach their potential as musicians. May 2014 – Part Time Teacher May 2015 Oxford Learning Centre, Bedford NS I taught French and English Language skills—as well as Math—to students ranging in both age and ability. I was responsible for having my students develop a thorough comprehension of the material they engaged with, as well as for inspiring them to learn independently. September 2014- Teaching Assistant, English 1100: Writing for University Students, December 2014 Dalhousie University Facilitated weekly tutorials for groups of undergraduate students that centered on teaching exceptional writing practice. These tutorials focused on topics ranging from business writing to writing for the Academy. I also evaluated all written work. September 2012 - Teaching Assistant, English 1000: Introduction to Literature, April 2014 Dalhousie University. Facilitated weekly tutorials for groups of undergraduate students that focused on the fundamentals of writing and literary analysis. I evaluated written work and diligently tried to impart an appreciation for the value of good communication skills, both verbal and written.
