chair in front of you. Please fill it out and bring
it to the Connection Point in the lobby where
we would love to meet you personally. We are so glad you
have joined us this morning!
Mpact & Royal Rangers
Wednesday, September 2, all of our Mpact & Royal Rangers
programs start up again for the school year!

Water Baptism Sunday
At the very beginning of second service on September 13th,
there will be an opportunity to be baptized in water! If you
are interested in being baptized in water, please talk to one
of the Pastors or call the church office at 442-1371.
Sunday School Picnic
at 4 pm at the White Oak Barn at Kennekuk,
we will have the Sunday School Picnic! The church supplies
the plates, cutlery, water & sodas. Everyone attending
needs to bring a covered dish for the potluck meal, along
with lawn chairs & any sports equipment you want to play.
Wednesday Meals in September
The Wednesday evening meals will begin again on
September 2nd, but with a few changes! The kitchen will now
be serving from 5-5:30 pm, rather than until 5:45 like they
have done previously. Also, the meals will be served on a
donation basis rather than the previously set cost.
Speed the Light BBQ Dinner Fundraiser
Save the Date! Friday, September 25 at 6 pm, DFA will host
their 2nd BBQ Dinner Fundraiser!
Check in Volunteers Needed
We need your help! Ashley Golden is looking for some
people to help out in the Kidstown Check from 9:45-11:15 on
Sunday mornings on a once a month rotation! If you would
like to start helping, please contact Ashley at 217-260-1832

Volunteers Needed for Funeral Dinners
We are looking for some wonderful people who would be
willing to help out when the church hosts a funeral dinner.
There are 2 ways we can use some help! First, if you would
be able to donate a dish for the dinner & second, if you
would like to volunteer to help with the dinner. There are 2
sign-up sheets in the south foyer-1 for each type of
volunteer. Please see Jeanie Hughes for more information.
Church Directories
It is time to update our church directories! If you are not in
the church directory, we would love to include you in the
directory! There is a sign-up sheet in the south foyer, if you
would take a few minutes to fill it out so we can update our
directory. Also, if your address or phone number has
changed, please let us know so we can keep the
information up to date!
Baby Shower for Heide Woodward
Cute as a button, sweet as can be~a precious baby girl is
joining the Woodward family! Please join us on Saturday,
September 19th at 1 pm in the gym to celebrate the
upcoming arrival of Mackenzie Kay! Heide is registered at
Target & Meijers. Please RSVP by Wednesday, September
16th to Shontae Harris or there will be sheet in the south foyer.
Van Drivers
We are seeking potential drivers for van routes & special
trips. There is van policy manual & application in the folders
outside of the Main Office. If you are interested in helping,
please read over the manual, fill out the application & bring
it in with the necessary paperwork to be processed by the
office. If you have questions, please call the office 442-1371.

WEDNESDAY, September 2
5-5:30 pm – The evening meal of Spaghetti w/ Meat Sauce,
cheesy garlic bread, lettuce salad, jell-o with fruit, & a drink
will be served in the gym. Note: Serving will end at 5:30
6 pm-Classes & activities begin in designated rooms.
All Royal Rangers & Mpact Classes will begin again!

10 am-People Reaching People Golf Tournament
Missionary of the Week
Thom & Connie G.
West Africa
Thom & Connie have been serving the
people of the Sahara Desert since 2005!
They are planting a church and ministering
to the community through a English
Language Centre which provides them
relationships and openly express & live out the love of Christ!
They will be returning to America in April of 2016 for
itineration. Please pray that they will be able to raise funds
quickly-their hopes are to raise their budget in 8 months,
because there will be no one to partner with them to keep
their ministry open while they are gone.
