Welcome Visitors
We welcome visitors to the service today and hope
you enjoy the music and ministry of DFA. There are
white visitor cards in the back pocket of the chair in
front of you. If you would please fill it out and
bring it to the counter at the back of the Sanctuary so we can meet
you personally. We are so glad you have joined us this morning!
Rambo McGuire Concert
This evening is the Rambo McGuire Concert! The doors will open at
5:15. Because we have such a large crowd this evening, we will not
be able to accommodate those who would like to save seats. If your
whole group is not present but would still like to sit together, we
will ask you to wait in the foyer until everyone in your group
arrives, then be seated altogether. It is going to be an incredible
night of gospel music that you won’t want to miss!
“Thank God for Something Tour”
On October 30th, “Thank God for Something Tour” with Hawk
Nelson, Finding Favour and JJ Heller will be here! The tickets are
only $12 or you can purchase a VIP ticket for $30 which includes
early admittance, meet and greet with the band, a cd, and a poster!
You can purchase tickets from Pastor Joel or from the church office.
Chosen’s Annual Chili Cook-Off
This Wednesday, October 8th at 6:00 pm will be our annual Chosen
Chili Cook-off! It is a great time of fellowship and delicious chili! It
will take the place of our evening service so we can enjoy an
incredible time of fellowship together! If you would like to make
your favorite chili recipe or a dessert for our cake walk, please see
Pastor Joel or Heide.
Road Rally
This year’s Road Rally will be held on October 18th. We will begin in
the church gym at 5:30 with dinner. The cost is $2.50 per person.
Please sign up by Wednesday, October 15th on the clipboards in the
foyer. Please note that all teams will need someone who is capable
of retrieving clues. If you have any questions, please see Cheryl
McCorkle or Jaymie Green.
Updated Church Directory
We are currently updating our church directory and mailing list
and we need your help! There are directories in the foyer, if you
would please take a few moments to check your information and
make sure it is all accurate, that would be greatly appreciated. We
also have many new faces around the church, so if you are not
currently in the directory and would like to be included please sign
up on the clipboard in the south foyer.
Baby Dedication
Next Sunday, October 12, there will be a baby dedication at the
opening of second service. Micheal and Katie Palmer will be
dedicating Charli and we want to encourage everyone to plan now
to stay for the dedication.
Hawk Nelson Volunteers
Alex Cundiff is looking for volunteers to help with various areas
during the Hawk Nelson concert on October 30th, including
security, merchandise tables and other areas. If you are interested,
please call him at the church office at 442.1371 or email him at
acundiff@danvillefirst.com
Prayer Chain
If you are interested in being a part of the prayer chain here at
Danville First, please sign up on a clipboard in the south foyer. We
have made some changes recently and are updating the prayer
chain list, so whether you have been on the prayer chain for years
or would like to be on it for the first time, please sign up!
October is Pastors Appreciation Month
We have been incredibly blessed with 3 amazing men on our
pastoral staff & October has been set aside as pastoral appreciation
month. We encourage all of you to show our pastors how much
they mean to our church, whether through a card, encouraging
words or a gift. Pastor Ryan, Pastor Joel and Alex deserve to be
honored in a special way this month for all that they do!

The board and staff of DFA would like to thank you for
contributing to our campaign to pay off our mortgage by March
2015. Your giving allowed us to make a double mortgage payment in
September! Remember you can give weekly, monthly or in a lump
sum. May God bless you for your giving!

will be together for the cook off.
THURSDAY, October 9
6:30 pm-Danville Bible Institute begins in the DCA building
Youth Service with Evangel University Rain Team
We have the opportunity to host a ministry team from Evangel
University and on Sunday October 19th, we will have a special youth
service! We will open the doors at 5:00 pm and service will start at
5:30. This will be an incredible night-so if you are in 6-12 grade or
know someone who is, make sure they are here!
New Comers Dinner
If you are new to our church since June, we would like to invite you
to a special dinner on October 26 at 5:00 pm in the gym! We would
love to get to know you and what better way than over a delicious
meal! Please sign up at the connections counter if you are able to
join us that evening!
