LEGAL NOTICE
The Southeastern Regional Services Group invites bids for DPW Supplies and Water and Sewer
Treatment Chemicals on behalf of the Towns of Abington, Bridgewater, Canton, East Bridgewater,
Easton, Foxborough, Mansfield, Middleborough, Norfolk, North Attleborough, Norton, Plainville,
Raynham, Sharon, Stoughton, West Bridgewater, Wrentham and the City of Taunton for Fiscal Year
2013.
Supplies include various types of stone; stone dust; gravel borrow; processed gravel; washed sand; loam;
perennial rye grass seed; concrete, PVC aluminum and ductile iron pipe; concrete block catch basins,
flowable fill, redi-mix concrete; pre-cast concrete manholes and catch basins; manhole frames, covers and
extension rings; catch basins and extension rings; recycled asphalt; various FOB asphalt products; liquid
calcium chloride; agriculturally enhanced de-icers; regular, mid-grade and premium unleaded gasoline, #2
heating oil and the following water and sewer treatment chemicals; liquid Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium
Hexametaphosphate Platelets; Sodium Fluoride (Coarse Crystals), Hydrated Lime, Liquid Ferric
Chloride, Sodium Bisulfite, Sodium Hydroxide 25% Solution, Sodium Hydroxide 50% Solution,
Potassium Permanganate, Sodium Hypochlorite 15% Solution (drums and tank truck delivery), Liquid
Sodium Nitrate, Polymer (Liquid cationic polyelectrolyte, Orthopolyphosphate (70/30 ortho/poly ), and
Liquefied Polyphosphate, Citric Acid, Liquid Chlorine, and Polyaluminum Chloride. Please note:
Except for water and sewer treatment chemicals, all fabricated or manufactured items shall be made in the
United States of America. Prevailing wage must be paid for the trucking of concrete.
Bid packages may be obtained from Procurement Officer Lara Thomas at SERSG@verizon.net.
Preferred method of distribution is via email. Bid package is available March 26, 2012. The IFB will not
be faxed or sent via expedited mail delivery. Queries concerning the bid specifications should be directed
in writing to the Procurement Officer.
Sealed bids will be received no later than 11:00am on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 50 Oliver Street,
Suite 213A, North Easton, MA 02356. The bid opening will take place one half hour later at the Easton
Water Department, 417 Bay Road, South Easton, MA. The SERSG Board of Directors will evaluate the
bids. A series of Contracts between each municipality participating in this procurement and the vendor
will be awarded to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder for each item.
The Awarding Authority will be the Board of Selectmen or Mayor of each of the SERSG municipalities
participating in this procurement. SERSG reserves the right to waive any informality or reject any or all
bids.
