a. Watch Jim Henson’s Storyteller Greek Myths: “Daedalus and Icarus” (25 minutes total running time)
b. In small groups of 2 or 3 of their (of their choice), write a “Prayer Poem” for Icarus from his father’s point of view
(COLLECT at end of block)
i. Minimum of 10 lines (all similar in length to promote flow/rhythm)
ii. Must include rhyming couplets (every two lines should have end rhyme)
iii. Model/Share previous student samples…
iv. My Example:
