TROY Area Alumni Chapter of the Delta Chi Fraternity
By-Laws
1. NAME
1.1 The Name of this organization shall be the Troy Area Alumni Chapter of the Delta Chi Fraternity.
2. PURPOSE
2.1. The purpose of the Troy Area Alumni Chapter shall be
2.1.1 to continue to provide opportunities for alumni of the Delta Chi Fraternity to experience the
friendship and growth that membership in our Order provides.
2.1.2 to provide support and leadership assistance to the members of the Troy State University Chapter of
the Delta Chi Fraternity.
2.1.3 to provide support and leadership assistance to the members of the Alumni Board of Trustees of the
Troy State University Chapter of the Delta Chi Fraternity.
3. MEMBERSHIP
3.1. Any alumnus member of The Delta Chi Fraternity from any undergraduate chapter shall be eligible for
membership in this alumni chapter.
4. OFFICERS
4.1. The officers of this alumni chapter and their duties shall be as follows:
4.1.1. The “A” shall serve as President of the chapter and is responsible for overseeing the functioning and
progress of the chapter. He shall serve as the official spokesperson of the chapter and represent the
chapter at official fraternity events.
4.1.2. The “B” shall serve as Vice-President of the chapter and shall also serve as the social/activities
coordinator. He shall oversee all committees, and shall be an ex-officio member of each. He shall
serve as the official spokesperson and representative of the chapter if the “A” cannot.
4.1.3. The “C” shall serve as the secretary of the chapter. He shall be responsible for conducting all official
correspondence, maintaining all records for the chapter.
4.1.4. The “D” Shall serve as the treasurer of the chapter. He shall be responsible for collecting all dues, and
making all necessary expenditures.
4.2. Other officers may be added as necessary.
5. COMMITTEES
5.1. Standing Committees.
5.1.1. Standing committees may be added as necessary.
5.2. The chapter may appoint ad-hoc committees as it feels necessary for the completion of certain projects.
6. MEETINGS
6.1. The Chapter shall hold meetings at a time and place deemed suitable by the members.
7. DUES
7.1. Dues shall be set by the members and will be collected by the “D” at the first meeting of each year.
8. AMENDMANT PROCESS
8.1. These by-laws may be amended by a majority vote of the members in attendance at a chapter meeting. If a
question arises, Roberts Rules of Order shall govern the alumni chapter’s proceedings.
